WE BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, THE FATHER, THE ALMIGHTY, MAKER OF HEAVEN AND EARTH, OF ALL THAT IS, SEEN AND UNSEEN...

-
The Nicene Creed

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit He became incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried.

On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his Kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son He is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen

To clarify: The use of the word “catholic” is in reference to the universal Church.

We yield ....

Christ died not just so that we can live, but that we can live an abundant life, a life lived in Christ received as we submit to His Lordship and surrender fully to the working of His Spirit.  It is Christ Who is our life and imparts faith to us when we fellowship with Him.  Without the power of His Spirit, we can in and of ourselves do nothing!  It is a life, lived by faith in Him and the work that was achieved in us by the blood of our Saviour, Jesus Christ at Calvary.  It is only in oneness with Him, in abiding fellowship with Him, that we are able to bear fruit (John 15 vs 4-5). Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).  His blood conquered sin, His love shed abroad in our hearts that we may know we are His children, shed for all mankind, He a perfect sacrifice to reconcile us a fallen humanity to our Heavenly Father.

Women in Hope

Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.  The Lord, the Lord Himself, is my strength and my defense; He has become my salvation.
